Paget’s disease:chronic bone disorder char by excessive abnormal bone remodelling.3 disease phases; ‘lytic’ phase predominated by osteoclastic activity,‘mixed phase’ w osteoblastic + osteoclastic activity,+‘sclerotic phase’/late phase.Case A: typical late phase Paget’s of proximal femur w cortical thickening + coarsened trabeculations. Pt also has advanced hip joint osteoarthritis. Case B: Osteosarcoma arising as complication of pre-existing Paget’s disease.
