"I'm a vampire and this is my story". TVD ended with 171 episodes. Stefan's age. It really was his story, and I loved that the last scene ever we've got of TVD was one of Stefan and Damon finally letting each other be at peace and happy in the afterlife. Defan was the most important relationship of the show after all.
