Strasbourg Christmas Market is known as Christkindelsmärik in the local Alsatian dialect. It is one of the most popular Christmas markets in Europe thanks to its fairytale location and world-famous mulled wine. It’s also the oldest Christmas market in France. In Strasbourg old town, you’ll find pretty canals lined with half-timbered houses, grand squares and cobblestone streets where events and markets are held.

Zurich Christmas Market
Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland and one of the most popular with visitors. You’ll experience a wonderful combination of urban and nature while in Zurich. The city has a gorgeous historic old town that sits on the shores of Lake Zurich while surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Basel is Switzerland’s cultural and Christmas capital. Basel Christmas Market takes place across two main squares in the Old Town but the rest of the city is also decorated with Christmas decorations and pretty lights. Colmar Christmas Market
One of the truly magical winter destinations in Europe, Colmar Christmas Market takes over this historic old town from late November until late December. Fairy lights cover many of the street trees, the famous half-timbered buildings are festively decorated and almost every square is lined with Christmas stalls and wooden chalets.

Tallinn Christmas Market
Although Tallinn’s first Christmas tree was erected in 1441, Tallinn Christmas Market is a modern festival that has taken place since 1997. It is held in the centre of Tallinn’s Medieval old town at the Town Hall Square, known as Raekoja plats in Estonian. It’s a beautiful, historic square that is surrounded by narrow cobblestone streets filled with wonderful small cafes, restaurants, bars and boutique stores.
