NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory on Instagram: "Hello from the other side... of the solar system. 📡 The Deep Space Network (or DSN) is @nasa’s global array of giant radio antennas that enable communication with interplanetary spacecraft. The network consists of three complexes that are spaced equidistant from each other – approximately 120 degrees apart in longitude – in Goldstone, California; Madrid, Spain; and Canberra, Australia. The strategic placement of these sites allows for constant communication with spacecraft as our planet rotates. Each site has at least four antenna stations—including one giant 230-foot (70-meter) diameter antenna—which are capable of tracking a spacecraft traveling tens of billions of miles from Earth. The complex in Canberra, the only DSN site that can com
