Some pics of my visit to @bunrattycastle.ie and folk museum in Ireland. I was struck by the very bright colours used inside and outside of some of the thatched cottages. A guide explained that Irish cottagers used bright colours as this was a Celtic style stemming back hundreds of years and British settlers found it unsettling. They would often share paint pots with neighbours. Many Irish buildings are still painted in these bright colours. #bunrattyfolkpark #bunrattycastle #historicco...
