Challenge them to try and mix as many different shades of blue as possible. Lastly add the swirls with white. Second day, add hill, tree, and moon by cutting and gluing construction paper. Happy Paper Penguin Art Project | Deep Space Sparkle
Penguins & colorful background -- How cute are these?!?! Not too worried that my 4th graders might find this too young for them. It's so darn cold outside that they'll love decorating a penguin. Good 2 part art project for them.

Celery Stamping Rainbow Fish Craft for Kids - Crafty Morning
Rainbow Fish Craft Using Celery as a Stamp - Great craft for kids! | CraftyMorning.com
Silhouette of student drawn with lines; I like the way the lines follow the student's hair. I wonder if adding more directional lines (following a shape, rather than horizontal) would add or detract to the beautiful simplicity. I really like the hair; but would it be as successful on a short-haired student?
