Winsor & Newton - Designers Gouache
What's the difference between gouache and watercolour, you ask? These water-soluble paints are both made with gum arabic and a variety of pigments, there are a few differences that set them apart. Gouache is made for matte, opaque applications, and specifically for creating easy to reproduce advertising imagery. Watercolours have a more luminous transparent look. Gouache can be watered down to act like watercolour, and they can be used in the same paintings together.
