Club classics

During its three-year run, the club attracted celebrities, artists, models, athletes, and musicians. These photographs, from Ian Schrager’s book Studio 54 (Rizzoli), capture a few of them in action.

Big Chicks was an old-man bar on the north side of Chicago. Then Michelle Fire made it the place everyone went to drink, dance, and hook up in a dark corner.
