I love programming for my clients, but I also love programming for myself! Now that I have the time and energy to focus on my own training for the next few months, I’m giving myself homework after teaching: and it’s working 😜👌🏾

Yesterday I was checking in with Extended Cobra, a drill I haven’t done since Jan (oops 😂) and decided I’d like to dedicate time to developing it. Today, after my Virtual Mexican Intensive, and some “homework” exercises I allocated to myself, I tried it again. 

I didn’t really expect to see THIS much difference but hey, I’ll take it 😆 tiny adjustments to form and preparation made this difference possible: I love to see good programming WORK 👏🏽

Megan Lau on Instagram: "Those that take my middle splits classes will know that this is a STAPLE!! 😽 as someone who is lucky to have flexibility come easy to me, i looked over strength training and just whacked my leg whenever i had to in dance 😩 But now, coming into more aerial and contortion stuff, i finally realised how important it is to support flexibility with strength to hold it in the air as well as having enough core to hold a balance! 🧚   these 3 exercises with yoga blocks under the knees are my favourite to strengthen the muscles you need for your middle splits/ tilts that you will eventually use in straddles on the floor or in the air! 🐝 try it out and lmk how it goes!!!"
