All of these step’s aren’t necessary, but here’s the order I recommend to get the best results from your skincare routine:  Step 1: (only if you are wearing make-up). Pour micellar water (like Garnier Micellar Water) on to a cotton pad and gently press against skin to remove make-up.   Step 2: Use a water-based cleanser like the Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser. Start here if you aren’t wearing make-up.   Step 3: Toner. If you choose to use a toner, I prefer soothing toners at night that contain ingredients that support the skin barrier, like the Anua Rice 70 Milky Toner.   Step 4: Serums, layered thinnest to thickest.
