Today I'll show you the easy way to draw cubes and boxes. It is really simple to do and one of my first cool doodles I learned how to draw as a kid. I also show you simple light source shading.

I would use this hand out as a viewing activity. For older kids I would put a blank beside the examples and provide a word bank. With younger and even older kids I would bring in materials and examples of these textures represented so they can get a real experience with it.

Sliced and Diced Form Drawing-Students will draw the 6 Basic 3D forms: Sphere, Cylinder, Donuts, Cone, Pyramid, & Cube/Rectangular Prism. They will learn how to accurately “slice” through the forms to see inside them and render with full shading. They will then create a composition using cuts and slices of the 6 basic shapes.
