a handmade card with a feather and button on the front that says sympathy sympathy

Sympathy cards are the hardest one's to make I think. You want to portray depth of emotion and heartfelt sympathy for the recipient with a card which is appealing to look at but not too bright or

a card with some feathers on it

Mary picked our colors this week and they are Delightful Dijon, Cajun Craze, Elegant Eggplant, and Mossy Meadow. Desert is to CASE one of the designers cards! I love these feather stamps! I embossed the edge of my card front and then on another piece of cs, I stamped the feathers using 2 colors on each. Stamped the sentiment, attached the panel with feathers and done! It has sort of a Southwest flavor to it with the copper and turquoise color scheme. More details on how I made the card are here.

a happy birthday card with gold foil on it and a blue ribbon around the edge

Hello again! I DID have time to play again today - and got a couple more cards done for my Stenciled Class homework - here is the first one: I was once again inspired by the amazing Debbie Hughes - her work never fails to make my breath catch just a little! I have been loving embossing paste for a while now - but was particularly fascinated by the way she misted her paper a bit with Heidi Swapp Color Shine, let that dry, then added her embossing paste over the top of that. I used Mint Green…
