Hello, friends! I have created a lesson for my students and any kiddos who wish to create titled Behind My Mask! When my students return in the fall (and, yes, I said 'when' as I am very hopeful and optimistic), they will be asked to mask-up. Mrs. Werner's Art Room: 1st Grade Self-Portraits

If your students are feeling anxious, help them reflect upon their inner selves with our My Inner-Self and Outer-Self Portrait Activity. Students will draw and color what their physical face looks like on one side of a blank face. They will draw and color their hobbies, thoughts, and emotions on the other side. These would look amazing displayed for Back-to-School night or open house.

It is an amazingly relaxing method of drawing lines and shapes in repetitive patterns which activate the right side of your brain to increase creativity.
