A Madame Gres taupe draped silk jersey cocktail dress, circa 1945, un-labelled, the narrow pleats following the curves of the breast on the bodice and wrapping around the torso to meet at the centre back waist, vertical pleats cascade down the skirt, padded shoulders, bust approx 81cm, 32in A gown of a similar construction was included in the Musee Bourdelle Exhibition, catalogue no 16, p.35.
