We teach this in Level 2 Tricks & Choreo Level, after around 6 months of Pole Dance. Building that pushing strength is essential to progress!   You also need to make sure you have the mobility in your shoulders to extend arm up 180° too to maximise your progress and minimise injuries.   There is an over head mobility training that you can follow inside the PPA membership portal.
