This latest composite artwork features the round tower and ruins of Ireland's Rock of Cashel National Monument in County Tipperary, the seat of the Kings of Munster for hundreds of years before the Norman invasion of the late 12th Century. What an amazing morning this is with a palpable sense of excitement! Starting Monday, we're being permitted to travel throughout our own counties here, and in just a few short weeks, restaurants will be re-opening. "Uncertain Times" - I created this artwork to capture the mood of the day, uncertainty. Rows of turf (peat) lay drying in the sunlight at a bog in County Clare. In the old days, each of these thousands of pieces would have been cut by hand using a double-sided spade called a sleán. . Now, machines do that work, but there's still much manual labour involved. Each piece needs to be turned to help with the drying process, and ultimately pieces are stood on end (called footing) to finish drying out. . Here's another magical image from my quick trip to Ennis yesterday... It was my first journey away from home in many weeks, as we're still restricted to home (with the exception of essential trips). I was quite heartened to see that I hadn't missed our Bluebell season -- these were blooming along the roadside near County Clare's Ballycorick Bridge. So bright and beautiful!

While making an essential trip to Ennis today, I spotted this beautiful new patch of wildflowers at one of my favourite places in Ballynacally, County Clare, where the Ballynacally Tidy Towns group planted wildflowers from Seed Bomb Ireland last year. Such a pleasant scene full of hope!

I've created a series of Face Mask Covers featuring some of my Irish wildflower images with proceeds going to Kildysart Social Services, a local volunteer group that looks out for senior citizens here.
