I believe this is about the best piece of Moores I have ever seen.. I always find it sad that the craft people who designed, potted and painted these, never were allowed to sign them and most pottery workers lived in very humble homes many were just back to back houses ( slums ) Their masterpieces went unsigned just a mark at best. The company got all the credit.. But often stray pieces of this quality found their way home to these humble abodes or sold in pubs
