Kindergarten reading comprehension passages that also build fluency! Each of the 27 short vowel word families passages focuses on a different short vowel word family. Look in the top right corner to see what word family each passage focuses on. Such fun phonics and reading practice for CVC words!Each passage comes with just text or with a picture students can color to aid comprehension and add to the activity. See the thumbnails to see both versions of the -at passage.These are great for small groups practice and would make a great fluency and comprehension center. They can also be great for tutoring, homework, or as assessments.For additional practice, you can also have your students go through and mark the words they found with the word family. You can also have them mark where they found the answers to their questions. This is GREAT practice for testing while also providing a lot of fluency practice!
