My work. Portra 800, 35mm, window light. I like the softer skin tones for the baby, and the brighter overall scan because it's such a bright, smiling, happy shot. If the baby were sleeping in this same shot, I'd rather see it "scanned for the highlights" so to speak. I like my images to feel real rather than idealized and for the tones to fit the expression and mood.
