Broken plan kitchens
The trend is still very much for an open plan kitchen and living space. However, with everyone now spending more time at home, it has become important to break up open-plan spaces so that people have a sense of privacy. The idea with broken plan is to be able to define distinct areas without visually isolating them from one another. You can do this with physical features such as different floor levels, or half walls, or you can use furniture, such as tall open shelving units or soft seating.
