Barbara Hepworth. This is a very elegant piece showing off her skill as a sculpture and really showcasing her talent with the big pointy, flowing shape and the layers of strings almost makes it look like it could be a type of instrument.

Breathtaking...The Pietà (1498–1499) is a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture by Michelangelo Buonarroti, housed in St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City. It is the only piece Michelangelo ever signed (See History after completion). This famous work of art depicts the body of Jesus on the lap of his mother Mary after the Crucifixion. Michelangelo's interpretation of the Pietà is unique to the precedents...
