Irish alphabet - we used this to write in Irish. It was discontinued in the sixties but I chose to keep on using it until I put down my pen after finishing the Leaving Certificate Irish exam - have to say this was done with much relief - Irish is not an easy language to master and in those days if you failed Irish you would not get your certificate!
