Cloondooan Castle ruins, Ireland - A partially-ruined 16th-century castle, or tower house. It had been a fortress of great strength. In A.D. 1586, The castle was under seige and Mahon, the owner, was killed. His people surrender and the western side of the Castle was then razed to the ground.
