When I was 17, I was depressed. I had one job idea my whole life and I failed to get it: I wanted to be a doctor. (Ha) Medical school was very hard to get into, and to be honest, I couldn’t see the point studying for a stupid test to prove I was worthy of “acceptance” That’s when my parents, to get me out of my own misery, put me to study engineering. For 5 years, I kept wondering “will I even like to work with this?” “Will I like to work in a factory?” “In a lab?” But I was too weak to answer my own questions. I knew the answer was no. I knew there was a red light in my brain trying to warn me, but I kept pushing it away: “it’ll be ok” “It’ll work out” “Wait and see” I was AFRAID to admit the answer. Because that meant I would admit I had no clue about anything. I was lost
