Giuseppe "Joe" Trifiro, short story by The Lonely Fighter
Giuseppe "Joe" Trifiro (1887-1947) was a member of the San Francisco crime family. Joe was first a member of the Cleveland crime family under, "boss" Dr. Romano until his death and then under "boss" Frank Milano. Joe later transferred his membership from the Cleveland Crime family to the San Francisco crime family at which time Tony Lima was the "boss".

Salvatore "Sam" Ricotta, short story by The Lonely Fighter
Salvatore "Sam" Ricotta (1893-1968) was believed to be an alleged member of the San Francisco crime family. Sam was known to be a leader of a counterfeiting gang in the bay area. In 1933 Sam and four others were arrested in a local hotel where $1000 in bogus $20 bills was seized by a posse headed by Sheriff William J. Emig and Under Sheriff Earle Hamilton. During the 1940's Sam was involved in an Olive Oil racket in San Francisco, CA with some Chicago racketeers.

Joseph Curreri aka "Phil Ruggero" (1893-1947) was believed to be a member of the San Francisco crime family. Curreri was born in S.Mateo, Italy. Curreri had an energetic record going back to the 1920s involving crimes in both the U.S.A and Canada, including murder allegations in both Quebec and Ontario, but he was also connected to the same Sunland Olive Oil firm that linked all the other players to the drama.

Vincenzo "Papa" LaRocca (1880-1965) was a member of the San Francisco crime family. Vincenzo was born in Sciacca, Italy. "Papa" had a brother and two sons and nephews who were allegedly members of the same crime family. Papa was the owner of La Rocca's Bar on Columbus Avenue which was known as a hangout spot for gangsters. Papa La Rocca also owns the basement apartment at Taylor and Lombard St were, the murder of mobster Nick De John was plotted May 06, 1947 and carried out May 07, 1947.

Elmer “Big Bones” Remmer (1897-1963) was a mob boss from Emeryville, California who controlled a number of after-hours joints, gambling parlors, and brothels in Emeryville, California. Remmer was close to and allegedly work for mob boss Charles "Lucky" Luciano.
