Lamborghini is an Italian manufacturer of luxury and high-performance sports cars, originally created to compete with Ferrari, headquartered in the municipality of Sant'Agata Bolognese. The company, which was founded in 1963 by Ferruccio Lamborghini (1916–1993) as a subsidiary of his successful Lamborghini Trattori S.p.A. tractor factory, currently the Volkswagen AG group, has it as a subsidiary of the Audi AG division, where it exchanges technologies between Audi R8 and the latest Lamborghini.
